The Consulting Coordinator will join the Consulting team at uAspire focused on growing our college affordability consulting footprint. This position will be an integral part of actualizing our consulting work, in which, through an equity-focused and student-centered lens, uAspire partners with organizations to provide services that enhance these partners’ ability to advance financially informed postsecondary education attainment for students of color, students from low-income backgrounds, and first-generation to college students.
Also referred to as the essential functions, key responsibilities describe the fundamental nature of the job which occupies a large proportion of the employee’s time. There can be categories of key responsibilities if that is helpful or makes the content more clear for the reader.
- Undertake short- and long-term college affordability consulting projects which fall into four categories: capacity building, program review, content development, and systems change partnerships.
- Formulate project plans and manage timely deliverables to external partners.
- Present and explain findings, recommendations, and other end deliverables to external partners.
- Support scholarship consultation projects with external scholarship organizations and support internal scholarship administration.
- Maintain college affordability knowledge and expertise through ongoing trainings, conferences, professional associations, research reviews etc.
- Collaborate with the External Affairs team to ensure proper delivery of funded commitments.
- Work with different teams within the Impact and Knowledge departments to ensure that projects operate within existing systems and helps inform new systems, content, etc.
- Support Research, Evaluation & Design team in determining processes for measuring impact of our consulting work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills:
- Postsecondary degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years experience navigating the college financial aid process with students and families.
- Committed to working and participating in an organization dedicated to ensuring a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment and interest in building upon that culture.
- Experience working with and motivating diverse college-aged populations including students who are Pell-eligible (low/moderate income), students of color, and the first in their families to attend college.
- People and/or project management experience preferred.
- Creative and resourceful problem solver.
- Advanced organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in an efficient, deadline focused, and effective manner.
- Proactive attitude, out of the box thinking, good sense of humor and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work occasional flexible hours that will include evenings and some weekends.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: March 16, 2022
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $44,500 - $50,125. Salary commensurate with experience and education.
STATUS: Exempt, full time
LOCATION AND WORK ARRANGEMENT: Massachusetts-based, preference for candidates based in the Greater Boston area
