Training & Tech Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY: The Training Specialist will provide a critical role in ensuring that uAspire achieves our ambitious and multifaceted plans for growth with quality through our T&TA model. They will work with uAspire’s national and regional teams and be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and support of our T&TA functions, including content development, training facilitation, oversight of Partner Portal, and partner management.
This position requires a driven individual with exceptional organizational, facilitation, and communication skills who is able to balance competing priorities with efficiency and accuracy. They will have a proven ability to deliver high-quality work and ensure the timely completion of tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The right candidate for this position will possess a high level of integrity and be able to respond to changes and challenges with flexibility and grace. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training Delivery & Partner Management
- Provide engaging and informative webinars and in-person trainings to practitioners with beginner to advanced experience with college affordability
- Manage training partnerships to ensure partner expectations are met and training outcomes are achieved; this includes partner onboarding, scheduling trainings, entering data into Salesforce, and supporting partners via email, video, and phone calls
- Support administration of online Partner Portal, including responding to partner questions and support requests and updating the portal's function and content
- Travel nationally to deliver trainings
Training & Content Development
- Develop and curate training content and materials for federal and state-specific financial aid (including, but not limited to, California, Massachusetts, New York, and Texas)
- Create interactive activities, case studies, and resources rooted in real-world scenarios that can be leveraged in trainings for both general audiences as well as for specific training partners
- Support updates to training content, tools, and resources to align with FAFSA simplification and economic mobility
- Remain at the forefront of college affordability expertise and support the T&TA team in continuing to build and enhance our understanding of the broader field and our issue, including participating in Federal Student Aid trainings and specific content research
Overall Program Support
- Assist with projects as needed, such as developing technology best practices, conducting data entry and analysis, and collaborating with teams across uAspire to support mission-focused work
- Support uAspire’s efforts to build and maintain a variety of partnerships by assisting leadership with recruitment, communication, and implementation
- Assist with administrative tasks across Impact work as needed, with a focus on training and partnership-related work

Education, Experience & Skills:
- Postsecondary degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience planning and facilitating trainings and/or meetings
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; the ability to translate complex ideas and systems into engaging activities and content
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in an efficient, deadline-focused, and effective manner
- Proficiency in Google Mail/Docs, and Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- High degree of professionalism, tact, initiative, and diplomacy
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students who are Pell-eligible, and first-generation college students, preferred
- Proactive attitude, out-of-the-box thinking, good sense of humor, and experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, non-profit setting preferred
- Participating in an organization dedicated to creating a work environment where all staff members feel they belong and interested in building upon that culture
- Ability to work flexible hours that will include some early mornings and evenings as well as national travel for in-person training
ANTICIPATED START DATE: January 5, 2026
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $57,500-60,249. Salary commensurate with experience and education.

STATUS: Exempt, full-time
CLASSIFICATION: Hybrid - Some travel required in this role.
